Since I don’t have anything to do today, I went to KK in the afternoon and bought a Lowepro beltpack for my prescious D60. The price quite suck and just now when I try to find the similar thing online, it’s RM70 cheaper than my price, even with RM20 shipping cost, it’s still frickin’ cheaper. Shit! (bought from Fotomat Digital, Center Point). Ahh…whatever…silly me. Next time I should decide carefully before buying.

In the evening, I went to IPMB, UMS (@ UMS beach) as usual to take a couple of sunset shots since I’ve not satisfied with the previous results, besides looking on the view during valentine’s day with those loving couples enjoying their so-called “romantic moment”.. .

Geng Pengembaraan Bermula

Semalam saya telah pergi menonton cerita animasi 3D Malaysia, Geng: Pengembaraan Bermula, di GSC 1Borneo. Jarang sekali (tak pernah rasanya..) kita berpeluang melihat animasi penuh 3D dalam bentuk filem yang menarik seperti ini. Sebelum ini, kita telah pun disajikan dengan beberapa filem animasi tempatan tetapi hasilnya SANGAT mengecewakan. Namun selepas menonton filem ini semalam, boleh dikatakan inilah permulaan sebenar dunia filem animasi Malaysia. Bukan saja teknik animasinya yang patut dikagumi, malah jalan ceritanya juga membuka satu lembaran baru dalam genre adventure (pengembaraan) dalam sinema animasi Malaysia. Gabungan realiti dan fantasi digarapkan dengan menarik sekali dalam jalan ceritanya dan perspektif kemalaysiaan jelas ditonjolkan dengan realiti kehidupan seharian watak-watak dalam cerita ini. Disokong dengan skrip yang mantap, saya lihat para penonton dari semua lapisan umur tidak mengira kaum, sangat terhibur dengan lawak-lawak dan aksi-aksi yang dipersembahkan. Bagi kanak-kanak pula, watak Rajoo, Upin, Ipin dan Oopet membuai mereka bersama ke alam fantasi Geng. Walau terdapat beberapa aspek animasi yang kelihatan “over” (pada pendapat saya), di mana sesekali kelihatan pergerakan objek/watak menjadi laju secara tiba-tiba (seolah-olah kekurangan frame?..eg: lori, kereta lembu) ia tidak mencacatkan persembahan filem ini. Geng: Pengembaraan Bermula, yang mendapat sokongan kerajaan Malaysia, merupakan satu filem yang mesti ditonton oleh setiap lapisan masyarakat tanpa mengira umur. Inilah salah satu contoh filem keluaran Malaysia yang mampu diketengahkan di peringkat antarabangsa dan mampu menjadi batu loncatan terbaik untuk filem-filem animasi Malaysia yang akan datang!

Bought another lens, , a prime lens, Nikon AF Nikkor 50mm f/1.8D. Currently I’m crazy with lenses and within 2 weeks I’ve already got myself 2 lenses. ‘Pokai’ a bit because of this thing. aiyo0~. whatever laa…

The Nikon AF Nikkor 50mm f/1.8D doesn’t have built-in autofocus motor and can only be used with manual mode with entry level DSLR like mine (D60). I suck when it comes to manual. However, after several tries I manage to master it a bit.

Looking forward to master D60’s manual mode and the right use of lenses.

Bought a new lens, Tamron AF70-300mm F/4-5.6 Di, for my D60. A nice telephoto lens for cheapskate beginner like me. hehe~..At first I want to buy the Nikon brand but it’s quite hard to find them since most of the shops either don’t sell them or don’t have them in stock. ..I saw the Nikon AF-S VR Zoom-Nikkor 70-200mm lens and quite like it but the price is way too high for my budget.

The Tamron AF70-300mm is equipped with macro function with maximum magnification ratio of 1:2, which is great for close-up shots. With that, I don’t have to buy additional macro lens.

The lens comes with a bayonet type hood and has a built in motor for Nikon D compatibility. I’ll be using this as my second lens after the standard Nikon lens AF-S NIKKOR 18-55mm that comes with the D60 kit.

TIADA..cuz I’m not into tagging-tagging ni..

A week without internet is VERY terrible. I haven’t been online since Chinese New Year’s holiday (last week) until today (2 Feb.). I’m just using the ‘ala kadar’ internet connection by the unstable-Celcom Blue-24 hour-internet-subscription and wasted about RM20++ just to do some basic stuffs (emails, fb, news, etc.). And today (2 Feb.), about 6PM I tried to switch on my modem and luckily the modem’s DSL light is blinking, something which I’ve been waiting for since a week ago. All of the fuss was caused by the stupidly-low-quality-retarded-shit Aztech DSL 605EU modem which was damaged within ~5 months after the purchase date, a very insanely low lifetime for a modem. And another worse thing is that I’ve lost the warranty card! it’s the house maid’s fault since she always mess all my things. I wouldn’t recommend any Aztech stuff again after this. duh!

As soon as I got back online for a few hours, suddenly it’s my lappy’s turn to ‘buang tebiat’ and my hosting also was down for 5 hours. The wireless network adapter (broadcom) suddenly gone crazy and were unable to be detected by the device manager. duh!..it’s like “sudah jatuh ditimpa tangga” (literal translation: after falling, the ladder falls upon you.) (meaning: after one bad thing, another follows.). Luckily I had a 10M CAT 5e cabble which I used back 2 years ago during my stay in hostel and now my lappy is depending on the cabble for internet connection. It has been a very tiring day..hmm…
