I just bought Aztech DSL605EU modem 2 days ago to replace my Linksys AM300 modem which had malfunctioned since last Monday. The Linksys modem have problems on its ethernet port/functions. I’ve tried connecting the modem to my D-link DI-624+A wireless router and it return DHCP error. Even after assigning static IP to the router, it still unable to connect to the modem. The problem continue even after I plugged in my lappy to the modem directly. It continuously loop the “LAN connected”-message but the lappy never get any DHCP IP. I’ve tried static IP too but it doesn’t solve the problem. So, I just bought a new modem since the 1-year-warranty for the modem has expired 6 days before that.

For the new Aztech DSL605EU modem, it has a very simple setup step which is great for newbies and you can get it functional in less than a minute. However the web manager is a little bit bad. The response time between each request is slow. Well, it’s not that terrible but compared to the previous Linksys AM300 and my D-Link router, I can feel the difference the first time I use it. I just hope this Aztech modem will last longer than the Linksys modem, like my D-Link router which I have used for more than 2 years. (24/7/365, no OFF)

Last year, the team (me, Adrian and blueskrinz) won third place in Computer Forensic & Defense Challenge and this year (me and Adrian) we won second place in the same category. No luck for us in CTF though. UTP’s Project Tango is still hard to beat.

Apa-apa pun, thanx to my best friend, encik Danone yang sudi menjadi “drebar” kitorang sepanjang the events. Dia sanggup susah payah ke hulu ke hilir bawak kitorang jenjalan (Lain kali aku datang sana, aku bagitau lagi dan ko mestilah standby menjadik guider. hehe~)

aku pun perasan benda nih time pegi i-hack’08 kat UiTM 14-17 Ogos lepas. time layan banner-banner semua, tetiba nampak logo CGY tuh..eyh! idup lagi rupanya kompeni ni..ingatkan dah lingkup terus. memula ada gak nampak kat website i-hack tuh tapi macam tak caye plak, then dorang macam biasa sponsor online streaming, dan baru la aku bleh justifykan kewujudan dorang ni. apa-apa pun, selamat tinggal laaaa CGY o0i~…aku dah tak berkenan ngan hosting korang. biar la murah cemana pun price korang, aku takkan kembali lagi..aku dah serik!..

btw, aku sempat amik backup site lama dan database backup 2 tahun dulu punya. ingat nak restore balik, tapi ada masalah plak bila campur yg lama ngan yang baru. entry dah tak sepadan…kalau tengok kat archieve, ada 1 je entry utk tahun 2006..so, nanti2 je laa aku update..
