Starbucks dibenar beroperasi di IPTA

PUTRAJAYA 25 Jun ? Kementerian Pengajian Tinggi hari ini memberi kebenaran kepada syarikat francais seperti Starbucks, Kopitiam dan Dunkin Donuts membuka premis mereka di pusat pelajar di institusi pengajian tinggi awam (IPTA).

Timbalan Menteri Pengajian Tinggi, Datuk Idris Haron berkata, selain perlu mendapatkan kebenaran daripada naib-naib canselor universiti berkenaan, kafe-kafe francais tersebut juga perlu menyediakan perkhidmatan jalur lebar Wi-Fi untuk kemudahan pelajar.

Katanya, walaupun terdapat IPTA yang sudah menyediakan perkhidmatan Wi-Fi, namun ia masih belum dilakukan secara menyeluruh.

Menurut beliau lagi, ramai penuntut universiti yang sanggup keluar kampus untuk mengunjungi kafe Starbucks di bandar sambil melakukan tugasan mereka.

“Saya terfikir kenapa tidak kita bawa Starbucks ke universiti, usaha ini boleh menggalakkan mereka melakukan perbincangan di kafe yang menyediakan perkhidmatan Wi-Fi.

“Saya tidak nampak ada halangan atau masalah yang akan timbul tetapi ia mesti dibuat di pusat pelajar, tambahan pula, banyak syarikat yang bersedia menawarkan perkhidmatan itu di universiti,” katanya.

Beliau berkata demikian kepada pemberita selepas menutup Konvensyen Pengetua, Kolej Kediaman IPT di bawah Kementerian Pengajian Tinggi dan Kementerian Pelajaran Peringkat Kebangsaan di sini hari ini.

Hadir sama ialah Naib Canselor Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), Tan Sri Prof. Dr. Mohd. Zulkifli Mohd. Ghazali.- Utusan.

Rasanya Kementerian Pengajian Tinggi nih dah gila dan bodoh. Alasan nak bawa masuk Starbucks dan segala macam syarikat francais ke IPTA hanya kerana WiFi!!!..what a joke!..Apa faedahnya kalau benda tuh ada dalam kampus?..buat perabis duit student je..dah la harga barang kat kedai jenis tu mahal. Kalau ada student price takpe gak. Alamatnya, ramai la yang akan perabis duit dorang kat tempat-tempat nih nanti..lagi-lagi bila benda ni ada dalam kampus..bila dapat duit PTPTN, dalam seminggu je abis la tu..haha

Kalau setakat pasal WiFi tuh, apa la salahnya kalau KPT suruh je IPTA seluruh negara ni pasang WiFi. Bukannya IPTA tiada duit nak buat semua tu. Yang dia cakap “RAMAI” student pi Starbucks tu berapa ramai sangat?..50%?..Rasanya tak sampai 10% pun..Dorang sepatutnya pertimbangkan dulu kesan baik buruknya benda ni. In my opinion, kesan buruknya lagi banyak dari yang baik. Daripada bawa masuk francais-francais “classy” macam tu, baik bawa masuk kedai mamak ke..suruh je la mamak tu pasang WiFi sebagai syaratnya..apa susah. I’m sure lagi ramai yang prefer kedai mamak dari Starbuck tu..

For the whole day, I can’t access the internet because of some stupid networking error on my Vista SP 1. When I woke up in the morning, I saw a network error on my laptop with the yellow marking sign “limited connectivity bla..bla..”..this is not the first time..it happened several times before but I just have to reboot the machine and everything will be OK after that..but not this time..after rebooting more than a dozen times, the network configuration still won’t assign proper DHCP address to my NIC instead it assign Microsoft’s APIPA. This happen to both wireless and ethernet connection. The diagnostic tools doesn’t help at all. It just give stupid so-called-solutions.

Here are some of the method that I’ve tried with no success:

1. Troubleshooting my wireless router. I’ve changed my network SSID, channel number, disable security settings and assign new DHCP range. Still no luck.

2. Reset winsock settings. I reset my winsock settings several times using the command netsh winsock reset. Still no improvement. My IP did change but it’s still in the APIPA range.

3. Ipconfig release, renew, flushdns, etc. I’ve tried every command but they also don’t work either.

4. Use static IP. Since I can’t connect to my network and use the GUI settings, I use command prompt shell to set a static IP.

Set IP & Subnet mask:
netsh interface ip set address name=”wireless network connection” static 192.168.0.103 255.255.255.0 192.168.0.1

Set first and second DNS:
netsh interface ip set dns “wireless network connection” static 192.168.0.1
netsh interface ip add dns “wireless network connection” 208.67.222.222

unfortunately, this method also PHAIL.

5. Uninstall wireless adapter via Device Manager.

6. Clear windows startup and select only core function to start during system boot.

7. Other methods. There are many more methods that i’ve tried. I spent more than 10 hours to solve this stupid networking problem with no luck.

..and finally, after many unsuccessful attempt, I just use System Restore. Although it work and solve the networking problem, my machine were full of mess from previously removed item.

But..it doesn’t solve this shit 100%. I still have an unknown network location on my Network and Sharing Center which I have no idea where it came from. This is the shit that messed up my IP configuration settings in the first place and I can’t get it removed from the list although all device have been disconnected. It’s like an automated shit that appear even when there’s no network connection. WTF?..Stupid Vista..full of bugs..Even in Service Pack 1, Windows Vista still have many unsolved bugs..this is one of the prefect example.

As the title, ada apa dengan Monsun-biz.com?..well, if you watch TV3 you will notice their advertisement. And a few days ago, I went to their website and take a brief look on the contents..it has NOTHING!!..so, ada apa dengan Monsun-biz.com?..jawapannya; tiada apa-apa pun..the site is like full of business type of spam..yang macam buat-duit-cepat, etc. and everything. I couldn’t find anything useful there..haha..and what’s more, the site is possibly vulnerable to SQL injection..why?..take a look at this;

haha..Invalid Query bla..bla..The site is using PHP Pro Bid, an auction script software written in PHP of course. Besides SQL injection, The site is also vulnerable to Cross Site Scripting (XSS).

It seems that dorang just membazir duit buying some script like that. Harga script tu je dah $217.17 (RM704.17)- based on the website- plus other side charge, nak juga lebih RM2000. Bayaran kepada site developer lagi…I don’t know how much la, tapi obviously it’s very expensive plus the advertisement on TV3..and now they’re depending on their luck, tunggu masa je untuk dihancurkan oleh those-internet-criminal. Haha..

Ini kali kedua aku buat blog baru dalam masa kurang 6 bulan. Blog first kat CGY yang hampeh tu dah hilang..segala macam “memoirs” yang aku tulis dari tahun 2005 hingga Mac-2008 semua lesap..pastuh dalam 2 bulan kemudian aku beli satu hosting plan baru dan renew my blog..yeah..renew=buat baru..haha..dan sebulan kemudian (bulan Jun..awal bulan)..hosting tu plak ada masalah HDD rosak..dan akhirnya, sekali lagi segala macam entry kat blog baru pun hilang..what-a-suwey-punya-nasib-daa…..nasib baik la blog baru tuh don’t have much entry lagi..ada la dalam 4-5 gitu (I’m too lazy to blog)..hehe..whatever la..dah nasib..and now I’m making a new one, hopefully kat server namsahaz ni takde laa kerosakan macam kat my previous hosting provider tu..

Something yang agak stupid here is that I have bought more than 3 hosting (different servers) and lots of domain name (some that i’ve totally fotgotten)..some of them (hosting) I pay monthly and some of them yearly..this current hosting, namsahaz, is which I’ve paid yearly…but then bila dah banyak sangat domain nih, pening pula nak urus time nak assign domain with hosting..dan akibatnya, banyak domain dan hosting yang terbiar, antaranya kat server namsahaz ni la..baru tadi when I thought of buying new space, then terfikir pula hosting kat namsahaz nih..so, tak jadi beli and save duit..haha..and I still have about 4-5 unmanaged domain..what ever la..

Since I’ve lost 2 blogs within 6 months, aku dah malas nak customize appearance blog ni..so, I’ll just use this NICE default wordpress theme..hehe..Kalau hilang lagi, I don’t have to tensyen-tensyen..install baru je with default theme..
